    About the Book:

The eccentric detective Ana Dolabra matches wits with a seemingly omniscient adversary in this brilliant fantasy-mystery from the author of The Tainted Cup.

In the canton of Yarrowdale, at the very edge of the Empire's reach, a Treasury officer has disappeared into thin air--vanishing from a room within a heavily guarded tower, its door and windows locked from the inside.

To solve the case, the Empire calls on its most brilliant and mercurial detective, the great Ana Dolabra. At her side, as always, is her bemused assistant Dinios Kol.

Ana soon discovers that they are investigating not a disappearance but a murder--and one of surpassing cunning, carried out by an opponent who can pass through warded doors like a ghost.
Worse still, the killer may be targeting the high-security compound known as the Shroud, where the Empire harvests fallen titans for the volatile magic found in their blood. Should it fall, the Empire itself will grind to a halt, robbed of the magic that allows its wheels of power to turn.

Din has seen his superior solve impossible cases before. But as the death toll grows and their quarry predicts each of Ana's moves with uncanny foresight, he fears that she has at last met an enemy she can't defeat.

    About the Book:

A woman is torn between her family and the draws of a new, villainous colony in this epic, fast paced space opera by award nominated author Ciel Pierlot. A perfect read for fans of Arkady Martine.

Luzia N.E. Drainway never concerned herself with the fey Astrosi. They lurk above and below the Bastion – a giant multileveled megalopolis that is her world – and they tend to keep to themselves. On the rare occasions they use their magics to meddle with human affairs, anyone with an ounce of sense steers clear. Luzia is too dedicated to the rigorous work of maintaining Bastion to pay them much attention.

Everything changes when a rogue Astrosi, the nefarious trickster named Carrion, kidnaps her nephew and sells him to the Eoi, one of the Astrosi courts. To save him Luzia must make a twisted contract; trading her life for her nephew’s and entering the service of the Eoi.

What are the Astrosi’s secrets? Why did Carrion leave her that cryptic message? Luzia embarks on a terrifying quest, a journey to the mystery at the core of the Bastion.

    About the Book:

While normally a death in the family, brings people together, that is just not the case for Lonnie Grambell. After the mysterious death of his older brother, his rich parents decide to send him away to boarding school, cutting off all communication for the better part of a decade. Now on the night of his graduation, Lonnie finds his world flipped upside down once more as he receives a formal invitation asking him to return for the summer before college.

Driven by curiosity and an urge for answers, he ventures home only to find that it is far from the family reunion he was expecting. Arriving at his parents mansion in the New York countryside, he is faced with a warped version of the world he remembered as a child. Bombarded with lavish meals, expensive gifts, and an invitation alongside his parents to the most exclusive and secret gala in New York, he feels that it all must be a dream.

That is until he wakes up after the party, and finds himself in a nightmare. Balancing a splitting headache and a loss of memory, he comes to realize that he is in some kind of twisted underground maze full of hidden cameras, deadly traps, and unspeakable horrors behind every corner. Suddenly in a fight for his life, Lonnie must overcome all odds and best his captors at their own game.
